Introduction:

The Accelerating Nigerian Community Health Organizations’ Responses to Promote Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Services (ANCHOR Project) Consortium is a group of leading indigenous non-government organizations with remarkable track records advocating for and promoting access to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and services in Nigeria and beyond through advocacy, capacity building, movement/coalition building, networking, service provision and community engagement.

The ANCHOR Consortium is led by PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation (PLAN Foundation), Ibadan which is also made up 6 other non-governmental organizations whose target groups are often marginalised by society or the economy, including persons with disabilities, rural populations, urban poor communities, sexual minorities, women, young people and internally displaced persons, most of whom are typically denied equal access to sexual and reproductive health rights and services. Each of the 6 Anchor Organizations will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a set of 3 non-governmental organizations designated as State Level Implementing Partners (SLIPs) selected and grouped into each of 6 Zonal Clusters across Nigeria and are anticipated to be engaged in implementing advocacy interventions that contribute to the development of stronger and more inclusive movements advocating for sexual reproductive health and rights in 3 selected states in each of the 6 Zonal Clusters.
