PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation (PLAN Foundation) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Suara Modeeu Afolabi as Director, Strategy, Partnerships and Institutional Development (Part-Time), effective 1 May 2025.
The appointment reflects the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening its institutional capacity as it embarks on the implementation of its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, which prioritises institutional growth, financial sustainability, strategic partnerships, innovation, evidence generation and organisational excellence.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, Mr. Afolabi will provide executive leadership in institutional strategy, partnership development, resource mobilization, corporate engagement, governance strengthening and organisational sustainability. His portfolio also includes advising the Executive Director on strategic growth, strengthening corporate and development partnerships, supporting high-value resource mobilization initiatives, and positioning the Foundation for greater national and international impact.
Mr. Afolabi is an accomplished strategy and management professional with over twenty years of executive leadership experience spanning consulting, financial advisory, organisational development, auditing, corporate governance and institutional transformation. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Openview Consulting and Openview Nigeria Limited, where he has led numerous organisational developments, financial management and executive capacity-building initiatives for public and private sector institutions.
His academic background includes degrees in International Relations, Humanitarian and Refugee Studies and Business Administration, while he is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations. He is also a Certified International Professional Manager and a Senior Member of the International Professional Managers Association (UK).

During his tenure, Mr. Afolabi will lead initiatives to strengthen institutional sustainability, expand strategic partnerships, deepen donor and corporate engagement, improve governance systems and diversify resource mobilization. His first-year performance priorities include developing an Institutional Sustainability Strategy, facilitating high-level partnerships, identifying new funding opportunities, strengthening institutional systems and providing strategic advisory support to the Foundation’s leadership.
