OLOWOFELA, Joseph Adeniyi (Prof.) is a distinguished Professor in Physics specializing in Solid Earth Physics, with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. He has authored more than 73 articles published in esteemed local and international journals, cited over 700 times globally.
His career began as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ibadan and progressed through various academic roles including Assistant Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at both the University of Ibadan and University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He also served as Manager at Epiwit Consulting Ltd. and held technical roles at the International Commission for Earth Science in Africa.
Professor Olowofela is an active member of professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Physics and the American Geophysical Union (AGU), where he contributes to advancements in his field. He has also played key roles in governance, including chairing the Ido Local Government and serving as Commissioner of Education, Science, and Technology in Oyo State.
Currently, he serves as a commissioner representing Oyo State at the Federal Character Commission in Abuja and holds the position of Chairman Board of Trustees at the PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation, demonstrating his commitment to both academia and public service.

Pharmacist Olubuwakola Oyeyinka Ayinde (née Akinlade) was born to the family of Alhaji Lajire and Mrs. Olubisi Akinlade in Lagos on April 15, 1971. She is a native of Ibadan from IBSE LGA.
She completed her primary school education at Army Children School, Lagos in 1983 and obtained the West African School Certificate in 1988 from Falomo High School, Ribadu, Lagos.
She proceeded to the University of Ibadan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 1995 and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2001.
She obtained the Fellowship of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacy with a specialization in Social & Administrative Pharmacy in 2015. She also completed: CLC 1: Certificate in Supply Chain for Health (Online Course) in 2023 Certificate Course in Health Administration (Faculty of Social & Administrative Pharmacy, WAPCP) in 2023
Bukola had her 1-year mandatory internship at ABC Chemist, Mokola, Ibadan, and her NYSC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, in Anambra State.
She worked and practiced as a Community Pharmacist for about five years before joining the Oyo State Hospital Management Board as a Grade 1 Pharmacist in 2005.
She is currently the Coordinator of the State Logistics Management Coordinating Unit and a Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services with the Oyo State Ministry of Health. She is also one of the newly appointed Consultant Pharmacists in the Oyo State Civil Service.
Pharmacist Ayinde has attended, participated in, and made presentations at workshops, training sessions, and conferences at local, national, and international levels. Her areas of interest include:
She was a recipient of the Oyo State Merit Award for Most Efficient Civil Servant (2023).

Obatunde Oladapo is a co-founder and Executive Director of PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation (PLAN Foundation), which was established in 2002. He has been largely instrumental in building the organization from scratch to a major player in health, capacity building, community engagement, and development at community, national, regional, and global levels.
Over the years, he has actively contributed to building community, civil society, and activists’ networks, coalitions, and movements at national, regional, and international levels.

He has experience working on evidence-based advocacy and activism, focusing on eliciting real-life, convincing, and community-based information through consultation with, seeking input from, and learning from affected communities and populations in support of decision-making and policy formulation on issues relevant to health, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, community engagement, mainstreaming disability for inclusivity, and resource mobilization.
His organization has been actively addressing the intersection of health and economic development of women, youths, persons living with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups in society through agricultural value addition, Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA), and food-for-health approaches.
He holds membership in several reputable national, regional, and global bodies working on health-related issues.
Over the years, he has actively contributed to building community, civil society, and activists’ networks, coalitions, and movements at national, regional, and international levels.
Obatunde was/is:
- Former Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA), 2017–2019.
- Founding member and Executive Steering Committee (ESC) member of the African Community Advisory Board (AfroCAB).
- Former member of the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC) World Community Advisory Board (World CAB).
- Founding member and National Coordinator of the Treatment Action Movement (TAM), Nigeria.
- Co-founder and National Secretary of the Civil Society for the Eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria (TB Network).
- Former Community Representative on the Core Group of the Stop TB Partnership’s TB/HIV Working Group.
- Member of the Global Coalition of Community TB Activists (GCTA).
- Former member of the Communities Delegation of the Joint United Nations Programme on AIDS (UNAIDS).
- TB Civil Society Representative on the Community Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) Nigeria.

Uloma Gift Akoma is a foremost community development professional and activist with over twenty years of demonstrable experience in the development sector, covering Health, Education, Gender, Household Economic Strengthening, Nutrition, Ageing, and Project Management.
She facilitated the establishment of Dawn of Life Foundation (DOLF) in August 2003 and was appointed as its first Executive Director. DOLF is a frontline indigenous non-governmental, non-profit developmental organization committed to working with poor and vulnerable communities in finding lasting solutions to poverty and poor health in Nigeria. Its thematic areas include quality and affordable healthcare services, education for all, household economic strengthening, nutrition, ageing, and more.
Under her leadership, DOLF has reached at least 9,000 communities across Nigeria, with support from various development partners, including the World Bank, European Union, Global Fund, ARFH, TB Network, ACOMIN, and the National and State Governments. These partnerships have brought life-changing support and hope to thousands of people.
Building on this success, Uloma Gift Akoma has gone on to establish the Dawn of Life Group, a network of development agencies, which includes:
Uloma holds an MBA in Project Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, a B.Sc.Ed in Accounting from Abia State University, Uturu, a PGD in Project Management Technology from FUTO, and an HND in Accountancy from Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri. She is also a member of the Institute of Natural Lifestyle of Nigeria and the Ibadan Institute of Natural Medicine.
Her multi-sector working experience includes engagements with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Natures Renaissance International, and more. She serves as a National Steering Committee Member of the Civil Society for the Eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria, a Technical Working Group Member at the National Senior Citizens Centre, and Co-chair of the Rivers State Ageing Consultative Forum.
She is a Board Chair and Member of several Non-Governmental Organizations and Networks, including:

Mrs. Obiageli B. Orah is the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection (DPA&CP) at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). She brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the medical field, emphasized by her role as Vice President of the Association of Medical Ultrasound Practitioners of Nigeria since 2022.
Mrs. Orah previously served as Financial Secretary for the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria from 2019 to 2022.

She holds an MSc in Medical Ultrasound from Bournemouth University, UK, and a BSc (Hons) in Radiography & Imaging from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

Bande Stephen Dung is a seasoned Executive Director at Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COIN) in Jos, Nigeria.
He oversees all organizational programs and projects, specializing in conducting baseline surveys and essential assessments to initiate projects effectively. Bande excels in proposal writing, budget implementation, and organizing high-impact trainings, workshops, and conferences. Known for his proficiency in compiling and presenting comprehensive reports to board members, donors, and stakeholders, he also designs and executes advocacy and community mobilization activities, fostering strong organizational and community relations.
Bande's career highlights include pivotal roles in managing significant projects, notably Global Fund initiatives for AIDS, TB, and malaria since 2008. He represents Tuberculosis Civil Society on Nigeria's country coordinating community (CCM) of the Global Fund, a position he has held since 2021. His consultancy experience spans Action Aid Nigeria, alongside leadership positions with The Civil Society for the Eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria (TB Network).

Kareem Samsudeen Adebola is a passionate public health professional and advocate dedicated to improving the lives of adolescents and young people, particularly those living with HIV. With extensive experience in program management, youth engagement, and behavioral change communication, he has played a pivotal role in advancing Nigeria’s HIV response and promoting youth-centered health initiatives.
Currently serving as the National Deputy Coordinator of the Association of Positive Youth Living with HIV in Nigeria (APYIN) and a Program Officer at the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Kareem is at the forefront of developing and implementing impactful public health programs. He is responsible for strategic planning, grant documentation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with Global Fund guidelines. His work focuses on strengthening access to HIV care, support, and treatment services for vulnerable populations. Kareem has been instrumental in leading major initiatives, including the ICARE Plus project, which leverages mHealth and peer navigation to enhance adherence among young people living with HIV.
Beyond public health, Kareem is committed to using storytelling as a tool for advocacy and social change. His documentary, Call Me Shamsz, which sheds light on HIV stigma, disclosure challenges, and resilience, has been officially selected for screening at prestigious international festivals, including the Cebu International Film Festival (Philippines) and the Justice Film Festival (New York).
As a member of the International AIDS Society and a board member of Plan Health and Advocacy Foundation, Kareem actively contributes to global and national dialogues on HIV, youth health, and human rights. His dedication to the UNAIDS 2030 agenda drives his work in mobilizing communities, influencing policies, and ensuring that young people have a voice in shaping the future of public health.
Kareem continues to leverage his expertise, leadership, and storytelling to inspire change, advocate for better health outcomes, and empower young people across Nigeria and beyond.

PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation (PLAN Foundation), was the first independent support group for people with HIV (PHIV) in Oyo State in Southwestern Nigeria. It is on record that we had the opportunity to participate actively and notably in most of these processes.
