Report on Second Quarterly Update Meeting

Location: The boardroom of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities (OYSAPD). The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join both in-person and virtually. Date: Friday, December 13, 2024.

Attendance
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Oyo State Chapter and OYAPD, alongside PLAN Foundation staff.

Mrs. Oniyide Roseline: Representing JONAPWD Oyo State Chapter.

Evangelist Olu Kayode: Representing OYSAPD.

PLAN Foundation Team: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Program Manager, Finance Officer and program Officer actively participated in the discussions.

Notably, Mr. Lawal Kayode, a member of the Project Working Group, was unable to attend due to health challenges.

Key Achievements and Updates

The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and the Program Manager of PLAN Foundation delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the progress and activities completed since the EMBASSY Project’s inception.

The key achievements included:

3-Day Workshop for Healthcare Workers
Training focused on improving the delivery of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for women with disabilities.

2-Day Workshop for EMBASSY Team Members
Capacity-building sessions on evidence gathering, monitoring, and evaluation strategies and tools to enhance project efficiency.

3-Year Advocacy and Resource Mobilization Development Workshop

A strategic workshop aimed at developing long-term advocacy plans and securing resources to sustain the EMBASSY Project’s objectives.

Discussions and Next Steps

The members reviewed and discussed the progress of these activities, identifying successes and areas for improvement. Action points for the next quarter were also deliberated, with a focus on achieving the project’s goals.
