The Desk Review of publications and materials to be used for the development of healthcare workers’ training manual and curriculum for healthcare workers’ training institutions by the Project Working Group of the EMBASSY Project was held on 7th and 8th February 2024. The EMBASSY Project Working Group was made up of 5 staff of PLAN Foundation, two representatives of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Oyo State Chapter in the person of Mrs. Oniyide Roseline and Mr. Lawal, and Evangelist Olu Kayode who is representing the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities (OYSAPD).

The PWG meticulously reviewed materials meant for use in developing a training manual for healthcare workers and a curriculum for healthcare workers training institutions on the provision of sexual and reproductive healthcare services for women with disabilities. Suggestions and amendments were made to several chapters of the Hesperian publication “A Health Handbook for Women with Disabilities – Hesperian Health Guides” which was adapted for developing the manual and curriculum.
